Photography is part of almost everyone’s dive experience these days, so much so that divers are spending some very serious money on equipment.
With this in mind we pulled this itinerary together to not only provide the underwater environment photographers revel in, but also two resorts where all the right facilities are on hand.
Starting in Anilao, staying at Buceo Anilao Beach & Dive Resort, you’ll be well looked after by Carlos, Dave and the team. Rarely do you find such a well-equipped resort that caters for every need a photographer could have, even down to its location – the house reef is awesome – get your macro lenses out and jump in, you’ll find all kinds of critters hidden amongst the soft corals and sponges, including tiger shrimp, spearing mantis, frogfish and if you’re really lucky, Rhinopia!
The second half of the itinerary takes you to Asia Divers in Puerto Galera. Again the set up is absolutely perfect for photographers. Here you will have more wide-angle opportunities, as well as fantastic macro life. One wide-angle dive you simply must definitely do – Verde island – quite possibly the most densely fish populated dive site in the whole of the Philippines. You’re lens will need to be wide, very wide to get it all in!
