Buceo Anilao is the new kid on the block in Anilao and what a great job Carlos, Cristina and David have done; every possible thought for what a diver needs has been taken into consideration, including one of the best camera rooms around.
If you are choosing to go to Anilao, chances are you are a macro fanatic. With their great location and top facilities, Buceo Anilao Beach and Dive and Beach Resort is the place for easy diving.
Carlos, Christina and Dave have done a great job in designing and building this new resort around the needs of divers and their attention to detail makes life very easy in many ways.
The dive shop is a few meters from the beach making it hop, skip and a jump onto the dive boat. The dive shop is well equipped with all new gear and has one of the best camera rooms around.
The resort is very close to most of the best dive sites in Anilao, so any boat journey will be anything from a few minutes to 20 minutes. The house reef, known as Secret Garden, is simply fantastic – a beautiful soft coral garden on a sandy slope is home to variety of sea slugs, crabs, pipefish, frogfish and all sorts of juveniles just waiting to be found. Anyone with interest in marine biology will be falling over themselves to do more than one dive here with its seemingly endless critters! It’s not uncommon to do 2 night dives, with dinner in between!
The resort is built on the side of the hill with stairs leading up the highest rooms, which by the have the best views. On the way up (or down) stop by either of the two pools and have a drink whilst watching the sunset.
Rooms are well apportioned with twin double beds and very comfortable mattress. Bathrooms are sizeable too, with hot and cold water, although in the summer months you won’t be using much of the hot!
At the resort restaurant there is endless, tea, coffee and water in between dives and main meals normally works on a buffet style basis and serves a range of International and local cuisine. The chef is very accommodating for those with special requests
