On the beautifully peaceful small island of Cabilao, Polaris Beach and Dive Resort is the perfect place where you can dive like crazy on the magnificent surrounding reefs and have all the comforts and space you would like to have in a resort.
One of the first things you notice at Polaris is the feeling of space, in as much as there is plenty of it; wide open grassy areas with coconut trees line the beach front, with cottages, bungalows and even tree-houses set further back and a good sized swimming pool in between.
You won’t go hungry here or get tired of the menu as there is the main restaurant, the pizza restaurant (with stone fired oven) and the boat shaped bar near the beach front, all serving excellent food.
Rooms are well equipped, with air-con, hot shower and safe boxes as standard. Our favourite room, the premium deluxe bungalow is nearest the sea and dive centre and close by to the pool and Restaurant, particularly useful if you have a large camera set up.
The Dive Centre is well equipped and offers nitrox. It’s right on the beach so getting onto the dive boats is very easy. The Dive Guides are excellent and have way above average biology knowledge, which they need to have because there is really so much to see around Cabilao!
