There are not many owners of established resorts that dive almost every day with their guests and continue to be strongly passionate about diving; Phil and Pedro are in that small group. This is definitely a resort owned by divers for divers.
The resort is bang smack on the beach right in front of one of Southern Leyte’s signature dive sites, Max Climax Wall (actually the original name was Mark’s Climax Wall, after a diver that enjoyed it an awful lot, the name got tweaked over the years).
There can’t be too many resorts that have a house reef of this quality; within a short distance off the beach you can be eye to eye with Green and Hawksbill turtles, straining your eyes finding pigmy seahorses on the many fans and just trying to take it all in at the sand shoot at the end of the wall.
The resort is split into 2 parts with the restaurant and 5 ocean front cottages right on the beach, each equipped with hot shower, air-con, tea/coffee making and one of the best views you could hope to wake to in the morning. A second building, 5 minutes walk up the road has a further 6 rooms, 4 of which are very spacious and also over look the bay.
This is an excellent place to bring groups, as they’ll be no big arguments over who has what room!

And after a great days diving, with Pedro and his eagle eyed DMs, you get to chill on the veranda and unwind with a super cold San Miguel, or go for a dive on the infamous Padre Burgos jetty, but that, as they say, is another story!
